For this project, we took a multi-faceted approach that combined the use of digital platforms and social media campaigns to reach and captivate audiences within and outside the target audience for the film. The idea was to create, still and moving image content with some of the UK’s most talented creative professionals, and using them a vessel to highlight universal themes, relatable characters, and the adventure of “The Spider-Verse” in an attempt to sustain the buzz of the Spiderman franchise, as well as appeal to new viewers and members of our creative community. Alongside this, in an attempt to also activate the Take More Photos community, we wanted to create a social media competition to help some young creatives on their creative journey.

On this project, we spotlighted 6 creatives who are making waves in their creative communities but also who related to some of the characters in the film. We sat with them to create a hero video which discussed the themes of family, community, friendship, battling stereotypes, and other overarching themes such as fashion, music and art. We also conducted a social media competition for the Take More Photos community, with 8 prizes sponsored by Sony Electronics.
